Ruby Greene's and Marsha Hurst's revised competencies document:

These reorganized competencies reflect the discussion of one of the work groups on June 8th. The thinking of the group was that courses could be organized to correspond to different competencies, and that those courses could reflect advocates’ direct and/or indirect advocacy roles. 

For example, an IRB training course might be of interest to hospital-based patient advocates and to patient advocates in other clinical care settings. A course on the ethics and legal basis of two-class care in hospital systems might be of more interest to advocates in policy or program arenas. 

Please give us feedback on the competencies and examples of the types of courses you might want to see given related to these topics.
