New York Society for Healthcare Consumer Advocacy Home Page

The New York Society for Healthcare Consumer Advocacy (formerly the New York Society of Patient Representatives) is a professional association of hospital-based patient representatives and other healthcare advocates in New York State. We are an affiliated chapter of the Society for Healthcare Consumer Advocacy of the American Hospital Association.

Services to our members include professional development and educational programs, a newsletter, a member directory, and notice of pertinent events and employment opportunities. Membership provides an opportunity to connect with colleagues, to share expertise and experiences.

The Society supports advocacy efforts that benefit people receiving or seeking healthcare. Society members are available to provide advice and assistance. Healthcare consumers are encouraged to consult the member list to locate advocates in their healthcare institutions.

This site was developed by the New York State Chapter to educate professionals, patients and consumers in the State of New York by providing current information regarding updates and changes in relevant laws.
